This pizza peel is made completely from wood. Manufactured for commercial use, it features a milled edge to make it easier to pick up the pizza. The benefit of a wooden peel is that dough is less likely to stick to it than an aluminium peel. However, wood is more time consuming to clean and more care must be taken with it to ensure it stays hygienic. A wooden pizza peel is also thicker than an aluminium one to prevent it burning, this can make handling pizza more difficult.
